Danby Lane Nundah marks the beginning of construction

A new chapter officially began at Danby Lane on April 10, as we gathered with future residents to celebrate the project’s official sod-turning and mark the start of construction.

The morning brought together our team, buyers and future neighbours over warm coffee, breakfast and plenty of conversation. While the sod turn marked an important milestone in the project’s construction journey, it was also an opportunity to celebrate the community that is already beginning to take shape at Danby Lane.

Of course, no sod-turning would be complete without the ceremonial Golden Shovel. The shovel made its appearance for the official moment, with plenty of photos captured along the way to commemorate the occasion and the beginning of construction.

More than the start of construction

For our future residents, the morning was about more than marking a construction milestone. It was the first opportunity for many buyers to come together, meet the people they will soon be living alongside and start getting to know their future neighbours.

Building a sense of community is an important part of creating a place to call home, and we loved seeing conversations begin over breakfast and coffee. From introductions between neighbours to catching up with familiar faces, the morning was a chance for those who will eventually share the Danby Lane community to connect well before moving in.

These early moments are a meaningful part of the journey. While construction is only just getting underway, the relationships and connections that form around a project can begin much earlier.

Looking ahead

With construction now underway, there are plenty more milestones to look forward to as Danby Lane takes shape.

From the first stages of construction through to completion and, eventually, welcoming residents into their new homes, we’ll continue to share the progress along the way.
