Founded in 2019 by CEO Jonathan Farro, Johnny Gio’s Pizza has expanded to more than 28 stores across Australia. With an almost cult-like following, the brand is renowned for delivering authentic Italian pizza featuring hand-stretched dough cooked on a high-temperature brick oven.

When discussing what drew them to the precinct, Johnny Gio’s founder Jonathan Farro highlighted Nundah’s growing demographic of young professionals and families, as well as our overall vision for Danby Lane. “We fell in love with the development itself,” Farro shared, praising Sam Gardner and our team at Gardner Vaughan after reviewing the architectural plans and designs. “We’re excited to bring our authentic brick oven pizzas, fresh ingredients, and warm Italian hospitality to the Nundah community.”

With core values centered on fun, family, and generosity, paired with a rich Italian heritage, Johnny Gio’s is set to bring high energy and their signature opening celebrations to Nundah.

Welcoming such a well-loved operator marks another significant milestone for Danby Lane, reflecting Gardner Vaughan’s overarching commitment to investing in the communities they help build. Johnny Gio’s is set to join Cerin Pasticceria and Style Kitchens by Design on the ground floor of Danby Lane, adding to the already thriving Nundah Village.
